When we see fear as our enemy we miss the greatest part of using fear to your advantage. I see fear as a catalyst to overcoming the greatest obstacles in our lives. Fear is a major part of change. It helps to shape you into something better than you are. Although it may appear to paralyze you initially, you must practice consistency to be resilient and fearless in achieving the Big Hairy Audacious Goals you have.
In an interview with Kandia Johnson, Nicole V. Cramer talks about owning your truth and using fear as a tool toward freedom and impact. Kandia practices being fearless. When asked how she defines fear, Kandia tweeted that “fear is a mental roadblock”. But the great thing about fear being that mental roadblock is once you learn how to overcome the fear in your mind, it will give you the confidence to do anything and achieve the goals you want to.
The key is to work through the fear to become the best you that you can become so that you can achieve the success you seek. Fear will always be a part of the journey but you must learn to manage it. One of the ways to do that is to acknowledge the fear when it shows up and get to the underlying cause of it. Really, there is nothing to fear except fear itself.
